Angel in the Centrefold

Haha that got your attention. I am thrilled, delighted, over the moon to have my first published design. I have known for some time that Beads and Beyond planned to publish it but didn't quite believe it until I saw it for myself. I submitted the following ranges and they chose to go with the middle one which is Jade.

The same principles and techniques can be used to amazing effect by changing the beads used. The picture below shows an example made by Celia of Jencel .
Kits are available exclusively from Jencel to make this version which uses Glass Pearls and Fire Polished beads. Click here to go directly to the kits

I forgot to add that my friend Caro helped me with the images for the magazine submission- she is an amazing artist and is currently working on  a Tarot deck called the Eklektikos Tarot - see her blog and see amazing previews

Nesting time !

I am soooo excited - after 21 years in this house I have Blackbirds nesting in my garden. To some that may not sound too amazing but I live in an old Edwardian semi on a busy main road with very little natural habitation close by. My back garden is my little oasis for wildlife and plants and shrubs are planted specifically with birds, insects, bees and butterflies in mind. Three years ago I was lucky to have Blue Tits in a nest box but this nest is in an Orange Pompom Buddleia  which I grew many years ago from a cutting.
I have been keeping an eye on the Buddleia as it looks like this year it  is going to be amazing with flowers as it has hundreds of buds - bees love it and I was getting excited about seeing it in all its glory.  I will keep you posted on the nest and the flowers but for now enjoy

Studio 7 Doncaster - Chris Linacre in print!

For the first time in connection with my Jewellery Design I am in print in Issue 67 of Craft Business discussing stringing materials of all things. The Editor contacted me some months ago and we did the interview over the phone. It was initially  led by a questions posed by Beth but I am pleased that I was able to make  points which are important to me.
For new readers can I just point you in the direction of my websites:
Chris Linacre - details about classes etc
Kiamyka Creations  - online store
Oh and can you all watch this space as it seems publications are like buses - you wait for ages and 2 come along
